A true friend is a friend who has unconditional love for you just as if they are your family. The kind that will never vote you off the island. They are there for you regardless of any choice you have made in your life good or bad. They are there even when the two of you haven't talk for months, but then the phone rings and it is as if you just talked yesterday.
They help you when ever you need it, they will drop everything for you in your time of need, they are family with out the blood line. Friends don't always have to agree with each other but make it a point to make sure they each know that it is taken as constructive criticism not negative. It is given with love, but they respect each other enough to allow each other to make their own choice and support it regardless of their opinion. That is a true friend and they are very very rare to find.
If you are blessed to find that special gift of one true friend never take advantage or loose that friendship, it will get you through life. So far, I have come to realize that this is a very difficult task indeed. Most of my friendships over the years have a condition attached, although I have bonded with a few lately. Trust issues are a whole different blogging event to be saved for a later date.
Most of the people that I come across would rather use people as a convenience rather than just wanting unconditional and real friendship. Sad....very sad.
